人が花の香りを嗅ぐ姿に、なぜだかものすごく心惹かれます。
誰かに花束をもらったとき、一生懸命育てた植物がやっと花を咲かせたとき。その動作には気持ちの余裕が現れていて、平穏というものを感じるからかもしれません。そして多くの場合、香りを吸い込むと同時に笑顔になります。デュシェンヌ・スマイル (Duchenne Smile)と呼ばれる本当の笑顔です。実際、花の香りは肯定的な心理的反応を引き起こすと言われています。
天然香料を使った香りにも、同じような効果があるように思います。心地良い香りに驚き思わず顔がほころぶ。それが天然香料を使う理由の一つです。しかし、花の揮発生物質の受け手として想定されているのは、花粉媒介者であって人間ではありません。人間はそれを分けてもらっている、そのことを忘れないようにしたいです。
商品を持たず、他にはない唯一の香りを、必要な量だけつくることにこだわっています。

BIO
Naoko Kusunoki is a Japanese independent perfumer and olfactory artist. After studying international politics and graphic design at university, she finished GIP level 3 advanced and ISIPCA online course. She also studied olfactory art in graduate school and received an MFA in contemporary art practice.
She is the founder of the brand YOUR EXCLUSIVE, which focuses on bespoke fragrances and perfumery workshops. She loves natural raw materials for fragrance composition, also she’s keen on synthetic molecules for her olfactory works.
